No, it is free for you as a seller. The dealer pays us a fee when the deal is done. If you choose to wait or sell privately, nobody pays anything.

Yes. Tell Caroline what you have received, and we let more dealers challenge the offer. You see whether anyone offers more and decide for yourself which offer you take.

You tell Caroline about your car by SMS. We present it to dealers looking for exactly that car, and we aim to have offers for you within a couple of days. You get the offers in the chat, and we highlight the offer that best fits your wishes. You choose an offer or decline them all.

There is no answer that fits everyone — it depends on your situation. Caroline weighs your timescale, your price expectation and what feels comfortable to you, and tells you honestly which path actually fits you.

No. You tell Caroline about your car once, and we present it to dealers looking for exactly that car.

No problem. Write to Caroline and we stop, no questions asked. This applies until you have accepted an offer.

Your registration number is enough to get started. We gather and check the car's basic data from external sources, and you confirm the details and tell us about mileage, condition and any damage.

We match your car with the dealers that are most relevant based on car model, your location and current demand — not with every connected dealer at once. The goal is the right dealer, so the number of dealers who see your car can vary.

We aim to have bids for you within a couple of days, sometimes a little longer over weekends. Caroline keeps you posted along the way so you are not left wondering.

Carneo only earns money when a dealer buys the car. The dealer then pays us a fee when the deal is done. Nothing is taken from your share of the sale price, and you never pay us anything.

Yes, the dealer path is currently the only path where Carneo earns money. But a recommendation that does not fit your situation helps no one: you end up unhappy and no deal happens. That is why Caroline sometimes recommends waiting, or selling privately, even when it does not benefit us in the short term.

A price through a dealer is usually lower than what you could get by selling the car privately. That is because the dealer has to allow for costs such as reconditioning, holding stock and a margin before the car is sold on. Caroline helps you understand what a reasonable price is for your particular car, and explains why.

The car's basic data, such as make, model and model year, is gathered and checked from external vehicle data sources, so you do not have to type everything in yourself. What you tell us about the car, such as mileage and condition, comes from you.

Dealers see the car, not who you are. Your contact details are only passed to the dealer whose bid you have chosen. We never sell your details on, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.

What you write to Caroline, and what comes with the channel you use: your phone number if you write by SMS or WhatsApp, and your name and profile if you write via Messenger. We use the details to help you with the sale. Dealers only receive your contact details once you have chosen a bid. We never ask for your personal identity number. WhatsApp and Messenger are run by Meta, which also processes the messages under its own terms. More about how we handle your details is in our privacy policy.

Email privacy@carneo.se and we will delete your data — we respond within one month at the latest. Automated purging is not in place yet, so every request is handled manually.

No. You decide for yourself whether to accept a bid. Until you have accepted one, you can stop at any time, at no cost and without explaining why.

It can happen that your car does not match any connected dealer's needs at that moment. Caroline then helps you explore other paths — for example selling privately, or adjusting the price expectation to reach the right buyer.

That is up to you. Caroline never forces a decision — you set the pace, whether you want to move quickly or take your time.

No. When you and a dealer agree, the dealer helps with the paperwork, including the purchase agreement.

It varies between dealers. Agree on collection directly with the dealer once you are in touch.

Yes, that is fine. Contact your bank or lender in good time to get a settlement amount — the amount needed to settle the loan on the day of sale.

Yes, but both owners need to agree to the sale and take part in the process. If you cannot take part together, a power of attorney from the other owner works fine.

Yes. Caroline helps you whether you are selling an electric, hybrid or petrol/diesel car, and weighs what is specific to your particular car into her recommendation.

We only pass on cars after the seller has been qualified and has actively approved the dealer path. We also only present cars to you that are judged relevant to your particular business, based on your purchasing profile.
